A former mathematics teacher, John B McMillan retired as head of Invergordon Academy in the Highlands of Scotland in 2001. He was awarded the OBE for services to education and now lives in Lochcarron in the North West Highlands. He travels the world for up to six months each year, pursuing his interest in diving, photography and sailing. When home, he gives lecture tours. He also plays the spoons!
